I once met a group of people wearing uniform but without any badge attached. I was curious where they were from, because as far as I knew, the badges, especially, the name badges were usually attached to the uniform to identify each of employees. Then I asked them about it and they said that they did not wear them because they were not in their office. I wondered why they should hide their name badges when they were not in the office. Wasn’t it good to show everybody since badges also showed their company identity? If they could think, actually, their badges could become the free advertising means. Anyway, let’s find out the possible reasons why they did not wear or perhaps did not want to wear their badges.
Badges, in various styles, colors, sizes, and materials, are uniquely made to identify the unique identity, to symbolize an authority, to indicate the special accomplishment, or in general, to show who, what, and where you are. Therefore, it should be the price for you to wear your badge, whether it is from your school if you are a student, from your company if you are an employee, from government if you are an official, or from any other organization, because other people can know you from your badge.
Well, back to the case as above in paragraph one, I guess that they were not proud of their badges. Perhaps, they did not like the design, the color, the size, the material, or they did not like their organization. The last word I mention, i.e. organization, seems to be an impossible reason for them because it should be the place where they got benefits. So, I guess they did not like the design. Therefore, if you are from one of organizations hoping your subordinates wear the badges, please make the design as interestingly as you can. Choose the most attractive badges for your organization and for your subordinates such as button badges or any other kinds of badges.
